Neuroprotective Effects of Resveratrol on a Mouse Model of Parkinson's Disease via the Wnt/Beta-Catenin Signaling Pathway

We herein aimed to evaluate the neuroprotective effects of resveratrol on a mouse model Parkinson’s disease and explore whether Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway was involved. Thirty male C57 black 6 mice were randomly divided into control group, group (1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6- tetrahydropyridine) treatment (1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine resveratrol) (n=10). The groups intraperitoneally injected with 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6- tetrahydropyridine (30 mg/kg in normal saline) induce disease. Then administered (20 0.5 % sodium carboxymethylcellulose solution) 1st d modeling. motor coordination ability studied by pole climbing test. Astrocyte microglia activations substantia nigra pars compacta observed immunohistochemical staining. 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine-induced striatum dopamine release measured high performance liquid chromatography transporter level detected Western blot. SH-SY5Y cell viability dependence assessed 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazolyl-2)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay blot, respectively. Resveratrol relieved dysfunction, death dopaminergic neurons, activation astrocytes microglia, as well reduction content induced neurotoxin 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine vitro. It also alleviated damage cells 1-methyl- 4-phenylpyridinium. increased levels proteins from 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine- treated SH-Y5Y cells. exerted predominantly regulating pathway.
